Application Instructions

  • This Net ID will be associated with your applicant record. We only need one. Do not create multiple IDs.

  • Submit your application by December 31st at 11:59 PM.

    Applicant must be a Peruvian citizen.

    Applicant must be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

    Minimum age to apply is 16 years old. In that case, you must add a simple declaration, as a permission, that your parents (mom or dad) authorize your application. Applicants from 18+ do not need permission.

    This scholarship is only available to studies in Peru.

    The amount to be covered will be evaluated.

  • Provide evidence of at least the equivalent of a 5-year High School.

    If you want to do a master degree, then you must provide evidence of 5 years of completed University studies.

  • Self-report your final grade as indicated on your academic record.

    Have the legal credentials of your completed high school or university ready, as you will need to attach them in the application system.

  • The applicant is required to submit a certificate for the completed course “Education for Employment” or any career development course that provides legal certification.

    This certificate will be attached to your application. If you have not finished the course yet, submit the email that shows your registration of the course and confirm the date of culmination in order to provide the scholarship, if you were selected.

    For those pursuing a master’s degree, please attach any certificate from the self-reliance group that you have completed.

  • 2 letters are required.

    One letter must be written by the applicant’s bishop and the second letter must be written by a professor or professional acquaintances who can evaluate their potential as student who earned the scholarship.

    Recommenders must provide their name, email address and create a password in order to submit their letters.

    The referee will receive a link to their personal email to proceed with answering some questions and attaching their letter of recommendation for the applicant.

    Letters of recommendation must be uploaded through the application system before the deadline - December 31.

  • • Write a carefully constructed statement that reflects your academic preparation and goals and how your university studies fit into those goals.

    • Statements are 1-2 pages.

    • This statement gives the admissions committee an opportunity to learn the following:

    • Your preparation and background for the scholarship to which you are applying.

    • Your academic or professional goals (both short (3-5 years) and long-term) and reasons for your choice of career,

    • Your particular academic or professional reasons for applying to the University -of your choice- and the scholarly or professional contributions you expect to make to your time studying.

    • Briefly describe a time that a goal was not accomplished, an aspiration was not achieved, or your leadership efforts have fallen short. What steps did you take to recover from this defeat? What resources did you use? How and why are you different today?

    • (Optional) How have you strengthened your candidacy if you previously applied to this scholarship and were denied admission? (e.g. changes in your professional development, improved academic qualifications, etc.)

  • • The applicant will submit a video, not longer than 90 seconds, introducing themselves.

    • This will help the application committee to have a sense of the applicant’s desire and commitment to study.

  • You must submit a headshot with your application.
