Jael Andrea Parra is a clinical psychologist and a graduate of the Konrad Lorenz University Foundation, specializing in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of emotional disorders. She is distinguished by her commitment to well-being, her vocation for service, and her holistic approach within both clinical and organizational settings. Her academic background has enabled her to cultivate skills in analysis, decision-making, and emotional support, as well as to recognize the importance of strengthening competencies in management and leadership through postgraduate studies, such as an MBA.
She possesses 13 years of professional experience. She began her career at a healthcare provider (IPS) as a medical transcriber, where she advanced to a leadership role, overseeing operations across multiple locations and supporting strategic human resources processes at a national level. Subsequently, she served as a wellness psychologist in the higher education sector, further honing her skills in communication, instruction, and group facilitation.
Currently, she works as an independent therapist, providing services for individuals, couples, and families. Her long-term goal is to establish a psychological services center with a focus on neuropsychology, thereby promoting mental health and ensuring access to high-quality, comprehensive care for the community.
Jael has served faithfully in various callings within her church, including Primary President, Young Women Leader, Relief Society President, Seminary Teacher, Facilitator for the Emotional Resilience Course, and—currently—Stake Self-Reliance Leader specializing in emotional health. These callings have allowed her to develop skills in leadership, service, empathy, teamwork, and providing spiritual support to the community.
