Lucas Plada
University: Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP)
Major: Master's Degree in Procedural Law
City: Lima
His professional experience has enabled him to become involved in cases of significant social impact, thereby solidifying his interest in Labor and Constitutional Law—particularly regarding the protection of fundamental rights within the workplace. This practical foundation led him to identify a need to enhance his training in procedural technique; consequently, he decided to pursue a Master’s degree in Procedural Law with the aim of refining the legal defense and counsel he provides to his clients.
He has cultivated experience in both the corporate and institutional sectors, serving as a corporate advisor and as National Legal Counsel for the Peruvian Red Cross for one year. This professional trajectory provided him with a comprehensive perspective on the practice of law and subsequently led to his decision to found his own firm: Plada Gorgoroso Abogados. He currently leads a team in person, managing judicial proceedings and legal advisory services with a strategic and personalized approach.
He has complemented his academic background with studies in leadership at the University of Miami. Furthermore, he has provided legal counsel and support to over 200 clients across various proceedings, thereby deepening his practical experience. He has also been an active member of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society, an organization comprising attorneys who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
His objective is to consolidate and expand his law firm, formally incorporating it as a legal entity in 2026 with the aim of creating jobs and broadening the scope of its legal services, particularly those directed toward the business sector. Additionally, he plans to serve as a university lecturer upon completing his Master’s degree, thereby contributing to the education and training of the next generation of legal professionals.
He served as a full-time missionary in the Peru Lima South Mission between 2017 and 2019. Currently, he serves as the Bishop of the La Campiña 1st Ward in Lima, where he actively leads and serves the local community.
