As a young woman, she participated in first aid courses and projects at school and later as a nursing technician. That experience gave her the confidence to study nursing and continue developing her skills and knowledge. She currently works at her city's hospital as a nursing technician.
She has served in various callings, including:
Primary president, second counsellor in the Primary, second counsellor in the Young Women, Relief Society secretary, nursery teacher.
After completing her professional career, Maria wants to work in an ESALUD hospital. She also wants to
have a nursing home for geriatric patients to care for and attend to them.
